Terms and conditions of sale - please read carefully

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with Camping on Tyne. Please read carefully before placing an order. Nothing in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights. All references to 'us', 'we' or the 'company' refer to Camping on Tyne. 'You' or the 'customer' refers to the person responsible for placing the order. By placing an order with Camping on Tyne, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Orders: We are pleased to accept orders from mainland United Kingdom, we do not however, process orders which originate outside the UK nor deliver to addresses that are outside of the UK or to PO boxes. We will accept orders via telephone, online transaction, e-mail and post. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Solo and American Express, or swipe only cards such as Electron. If the card issuer refuses to authorise payment we will not be liable for any delay and/or non-delivery of the order. No orders will be accepted without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder and its registered address. Cheques/postal orders must be made payable to Camping on Tyne. We reserve the right to hold goods until the cheque/postal order has cleared. Therefore we do not despatch goods within two working days if payment is via cheque/postal order.

Damaged Items And Delivery Mistakes: In the event of any goods being delivered faulty, damaged in transit or incorrect according to the delivery note/invoice then we must be notified within seven working days of receipt. If we receive no notification the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory. We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the courier company. Liability in those cases is limited to the value of those items, which are shown not to have been received by the customer. We are unable to refund any postage costs unless the item was sent in error or damaged upon delivery, in these cases the credit card used will be credited with the current price of postage according to the carrier. Delivery: Delivery is free on any order over £100.00 (including VAT) within the UK mainland. Any order under £100.00 and within the UK mainland will have a £4.99 P&P charge applied. Please contact us by telephone or email for delivery prices for UK Islands.  We do not deliver internationally.Items ordered will be delivered as soon as possible and we aim to process and dispatch each order within 2 working days of receipt via next day Business Post courier service. Although you can have the goods delivered to any address within the UK, please ensure that someone is available to sign for the goods upon delivery between 9am and 6pm. We reserve the right to deliver the goods to the cardholder's address. We regret to say that there is a £15.00 surcharge should the parcel need to be re-routed to a different address once it has been despatched. We reserve the right to change the delivery prices without prior notice. While we make every effort to ensure that delivery takes place within three working days on items that are currently in stock, we cannot guarantee actual time of delivery. In the event that we cannot deliver your order or a part of your order we will inform you within two working days.

Distance Selling Regulations: As a mail order customer you have the right to cancel any item within 7 days of delivery (excludes perishable items, personalised items or items where we will have discussed the goods and you have agreed to take them. I.E. Special orders) provided they are in new and unused condition with original packaging and receipt. Items used will be deemed to have been accepted by you and therefore cannot be returned unless faulty. To cancel an item please call or e-mail us. Items must be received by us within 7 days of cancellation and you will receive a full refund to your credit card upon inspection of the goods. We will not refund your postage costs unless the item is faulty or there is an error in the delivery.

Price and Print Errors: Whilst we make every effort to ensure that all details published are correct no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter specifications and prices without notice.

Prices: All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and include UK VAT at 17.5%. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Products: Products are sold singly unless otherwise stated and although we make every effort to ensure that we have stock we cannot guarantee that every item on the online shop is in stock. Please call 01661 842244 for stock availability if you need the product in a short space of time. Should products be out of stock you will be e-mailed within two working days. (Please ensure that your e-mail is correct when placing the order.) Every effort is also made to ensure that the colours listed and picture on the site are accurate but due to technical limitations some colours may vary.

Out of stock items: Whilst we aim to have the item of stock you require available at all times, this can sometimes be difficult in high season. Should an item be out of stock when you order, we will contact you to offer an alternative or to advise you of the later delivery date. Shopping is Safe at Camping on Tyne because all details are sent using encrypted software. This means that the credit card details sent are coded in such a way that, in the extremely unlikely event that someone is somehow able to obtain this information, only we can decode the information to obtain your credit card details. The credit card details are encrypted on your PC through the "encryption" page and they are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. The method used is 128-bit encryption. Please note that none of our customers has ever reported to us fraudulent use of their credit card as a result of shopping with Camping on Tyne.

Guarantee & Faulty Items: All products are guaranteed for twelve months unless otherwise stated from the original date of invoice against failure to provide reasonable wear due to defective workmanship or materials so long as the product was used for its intended purpose. This guarantee excludes damage caused by accident, neglect or misuse. (Use for other than intended purpose of item.) In the event of a product failing please call or e-mail us with details of the product, fault and age. A proof of purchase is necessary and the item must be returned in a clean and dry condition, any items returned in a state other than above will be returned to sender due to Health and Safety regulations. Returns & Exchanges: We want you to be 100% satisfied with any and every order placed with us. Therefore if you wish to return an item for any reason at all you may do so within at any time up to 14 days from receipt of the goods. To return a non-faulty item the product must be in its original condition with the original labels attached and a copy of the invoice, once an item has been worn or used we will be unable to refund or exchange unless the item is found by the manufacturer to have a fault. Should an item be returned with no fault but in a used condition we will return it to the customer. In the event of wanting to return a non-faulty item we must be informed before its return via e-mail or telephone/fax within 14 days of receipt and informed as to why the goods are being returned and whether you want a refund or an exchange. The products must reach us within a further 7 days from notification and you will be refunded/exchanged as soon as we receive the item and upon inspection to ensure that it is in its original condition.
